Better Vision in
Any
Light |
|
PhotoFusion® lenses are an ideal alternative for people
who don’t want to switch between sunglasses and spectacles all
day long.
PhotoFusion® photochromic lenses provide
optimum vision comfort in all light conditions. They darken
when exposed to UV rays. They offer optimum eye protection
and adjust to changing light conditions in just seconds. |
|
|
|
|
As soon as the UV rays of the sun hit these
special lenses, they are activated and darken. A reduction in sunlight
causes them to clear, and indoors they return to their clear state. One
of the particular features of PhotoFusion® lenses is that: the shading
adjusts to changing outdoor light conditions consistently and ensures
that the right amount of light reaches the eyes. You can also choose
from color options in brown and gray. Best of all, they always block out
100 percent of the damaging UV-A and UV-B rays.
|
|
The change in tint works so quickly and consistently that most
people who wear these glasses do not even notice it.
Another great benefit:
PhotoFusion® lenses fit into virtually all frames and they are
available in different plastic materials, such as those needed for thin
and lightweight glasses.
Whether you need single-vision or progressive
addition lenses (lenses that provide both distance and near
corrections), the perfect PhotoFusion® lens is available for every need.
See your eye care professional for a consultation.
Do PhotoFusion
lenses reach sunglass density outdoors?
Yes! With an average
luminous transmittance down to 9% (11% with AR) at 73 degrees F,
PhotoFusion lenses will reach this density outdoors in bright sunlight.
PhotoFusion lenses satisfy ISO 8980-3 requirements for dark (Category 3)
lenses.
On bright, sunny days —and even on rainy ones— our eyes
are exposed to UV rays. You probably know that these rays are
damaging to your skin, but they are also damaging to your eyes.
PhotoFusion® lenses provide 100 percent protection. |

For most people it's a habit
– on sunny days, they put on sunscreen to protect their skin from
damaging UV rays. However, many of us forget that we need to protect our
eyes as well. UVA and UVB rays don’t just attack the skin – they can
also affect our vision. Recent research confirms that if we expose our
eyes to dangerous rays for extended periods of time, we put ourselves at
risk of developing vision problems and even diseases such as cataracts
and macular degeneration (a condition that kills off retinal cells and
affects the central part of your visual field.)
Eyes can get
sunburned!! This is a condition known as photokeratis. What can we do to protect
our eyes? Since there is no sunscreen for the eyes, we have to wear
lenses that protect our most important sensory organs. |
